It's episode 75, minecraft 1.5 is almost here, and Paul just beat the snot out of a Wither. So, what can we do with the Nether Star we get for beating the Wither? Build a beacon! However, Paul doesn't want this to be a regular beacon: he wants it to be a mighty shrine to the gods of Minecraft (mainly Notch). First, beacon basics: to craft, get three obsidian, one nether star, and five pieces of glass. Arrange the obsidian blocks in a row at the bottom of the crafting area, put the nether star in the center, and fill in the empty spaces with glass. Now, if you place the beacon, nothing happens. Therefore, you need to build at least one base made of iron, gold, emerald, or diamond blocks. One you've built a three times three base of the above materials and placed the beacon on top, the beam of light shall appear, giving you option for a few perks. Now, the first perks require a three times three base. Higher grade perks need five by five, seven by seven, and so on and so forth. Now that Paul's done with the basics, it's time for the shrine! Choosing a nice spot near the stuck pig, he first constructs a sandstone base, four pillars made of blocks of useless lazuli (lapis lazuli for the common folk), inserts a five by five and three by three base, and finally puts on the mighty beacon. However, after this, things start to get a little weird. While covering the Beacon's range, Paul comically yells "NO!!!" upon exiting the Beacon's range and losing his speed. At that exact moment, a bolt of lighting pierces the sky. Afterwards, everytime Paul is about to do or does something odd / comical, more lighting bolts try to hit him. Finally, with the episode over, Paul rushes indoors to escape the wrath of Notch, only to notice his animals acting crazy.
